Microsoft Reader eBooks

I created some eBooks of U.S. historical documents in Microsoft Reader format. Here are links for them:

NOTE: If your browser is configured to open .lit files, and you wish to download the files, do the following:

1. Right-click on the link (Windows only) to display a context menu.
2. Click "Save Link As..." (Netscape) or "Save Target As..." (Internet Explorer) to download the files.

Clicking on the link without a program configured to open .lit files will display garbage.

Windows Mobile Themes

I've created some themes for the Motorola Q. Theme files are zipped up for easy download. Click the link to get a theme.

For Smartphone themes, do the following to select them:

1. Unzip the files.
2. Copy them to the \Application Data\Home folder on your device.
3. Go to the Home Screen settings applet.
4. For themes with a layout file, choose the new one in the Home screen layout list.
5. For themes without a layout file, choose the new one in the Color scheme and Background image lists.
6. For themes with a color scheme file, you can try using that color scheme independently of your Home screen by choosing the scheme in the Color scheme list. This may not work well with all Home screens depending on the color of the background image.
7. Press the Done softkey.
