I noticed you moved your threads here, that explains why my old threads show unread posts (I notice from my forum when I move a thread it shows up as unread again...)

I moved two topics -- BE500Guy's and your introductory posts. I didn't move any of my topics here.

As for why phpBB marks moved topics as unread, you'll have to ask at phpBB.com because I have no idea.

Anyway, this is my intro topic, so let's not derail it with phpBB discussion. If you think there's a better way to do things, that's what the Suggestions forum is for.

.

Steve, it sures rates a "Wow" from me when I read that list of little computers (PDAs) you have owned. Now I have some idea why you have this site. Yep, that is a list, for sure. And you started from when this little bit of computer history started, too. CE1 to CE5, right? Is that right?

The first OS for the little guys was CE1? Or was it just CE, in the beginning? Guess I could Google that for the answer. Sorry.

Anyway, neat history there. Been steadily moving up in the world of little guys.

Sorry again, I always give funny names to hardware. Started when my first flying was in a "bird" and it was referred to as a lady.

And that just reminded me that I think we used small computers back in the 70s in our choppers. Maybe I have a bit more history with little computers than I realized. But that seems like a long time ago. I had almost forgotten.

.
It's better to have tried and failed, than to not have tried at all. As long as you didn't lose your head over it.

I think so. My WM 6.1 Samsung Omnia is still using Windows CE 5.2.

I just checked my first Windows CE device and it does say Windows CE Version 1.0. It's not a back-formation, like when the Pocket PC OS got renamed Pocket PC 2000 after Pocket PC 2002 came out.

I think there is a word for that, and it wasn't the word you used...

And what OS did these 70's mini computers have?
