VNC Server

Does anyone know of a program that will work on WM6 that will let me control my phone from my computer, like if I wanna read and send text messages and not have to pick up my phone?

If you really want VNC, you could try Pocket VNC.

However, if you just want to control your Windows Mobile device but don't care about the technology used, there are quite a few choices, like:
Check those out and let us know what you think.

I have used SOTI in the past but I am using Linux so VNC would be better as it's crossplatform, but maybe I could get something working through Wine or Virtual Machines....

EDIT: I got MyMobiler working!!

I installed the programs and ran it on my phone and computer. On my computer I got an activesync error, but I went to "Connect IP" and typed in my phone's IP address (As it's connected via Wifi to the same access point as my laptop/same network) and it worked.

Thank you so much, this is better than VNC because when I ran the VNC one I could not see where my mouse was (as VNC only shows the remote cursor, which in this case there isn't one)

And it's faster than the VNC server (and it's free)

Glad it worked. I've heard good things about MyMobiler.

Have you ever used it?

I am lucky, not only because it does what I want (and more) but also because it actually worked in Wine (do you know what Wine is?)

As I said above it does more, it has a file browser so I can even transfer files over Wifi, I did that before with Mocha FTP Server, but it's still good to have other options.

No, I've used dotPocket or Pocket Controller Pro. The only reason I've needed to control my device from a PC was to make screen captures of things screen capture programs aren't good at capturing (like context menus).

Yes, I know what Wine is. I don't use Linux (except occasionally on my Netbook) but I'm not clueless.

That's a clever way to screenshot...
